The other large consideration during your event is the food and beverage you will have served during the day.
Before you tee often think about the following.
- Continental Breakfast
- Box breakfast or lunch, depending on the time of your event
- Catering from a local restaurant, they might donate or give you a great deal in return for the exposure. At the least they may donate some gift certificates
- Drinks, look for a donation
- On course, you need to provide something, it will be a long day outside and you want everyone to have a good time. Either place drinks on several holes during the round or have the golf course provide a beverage cart to roam the course to serve your guests.
- Snack bar on the course, make sure the facility keeps it opened and stocked
After your round consider these.
- Specialty drinks, combine this into the them you choose for day.
- BBQ
- Themed buffet
- Formal meal or buffet
- Meal stations, different nationalities is always a big hit
- Try a beverage company to host. They might be introducing a new drink and might want to promote it.
- Entertainment
- Photography
- Don’t forget to recognize your sponsors!
The last thing to remember is to check your timeline again. It will be a long and stressful day and if you build in 15 more minutes somewhere it will pay off. Talk with the golf course and make sure you are realistic about how long the round will take. Allow time for the golfers to finish, relax and then have something to eat and drink. The last thing you want is to be hurried or schedule so many activities that everyone feels rushed.
