Established in 1997, the annual Stars & Stripes Fishing and Golf Tournament, also referred to as “The Feel Good Tournament,” has accomplished many wonderful things for disadvantaged children. The funds raised by this event benefit various children’s charities that serve children who are the victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment, and children that without a positive mentor lack the day-to-day experiences that stimulate their intellectual and cultural development. The Stars & Stripes Tournament has also allowed many children to take part in an experience of a lifetime by giving them the opportunity to participate in the tournament.
We are very proud of our long-standing relationship with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, and we are now proud to announce the expansion of our charitable recipients; the Orangewood Children’s Foundation and Freedom Writers Foundation. Big Brothers Big Sisters help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one mentor relationships that have a measurable impact. Orangewood Children’s Foundation shelters Orange County children who were the victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment. The Freedom Writers Foundation positively impacts communities by decreasing high school drop out rates through the replication and enhancement of the Freedom Writers Method.
The Stars & Stripes Tournament will be celebrating its 12th Anniversary June 26-29, 2008 and we need your help!
