These next 2 examples are actual events we have been involved with over the past few years, one a modest example, and the other a higher end event. You can see how quickly the dollars can add up. In the second example, the event was able to charge a higher rate to play golf, use more contests, held a larger auction, and offered better and more gifts and prizes. But the next result was that they were able to raise 10 times the amount of money as a smaller event.
Not all events can raise the type of money that this large event raised but the point is you need to aim high to get higher. Also, you cannot have a low budget facility, fail to offer great gifts and prizes, and expect to get people to come out and give their time and money.
